Introducing The Sage Integration!
We are very proud to announce that our Sage Business Cloud Accounting integration is live! You can now create invoices directly in DataGrows to your Sage Accounting Firm. Your clients will also sync across both systems with this new integration, and you can use this as your initial data upload to DataGrows as well!
If you would like to be part of the first group of users to use this integration and you need assistance with the setup, please book a session with us via the link below: https://calendly.com/d/4dv-s53-t8h/sage-integration
We will be hosting a dedicated demo for the Sage Integration this Friday from 11:00-12:30.
Please book your spot on this demo for FRIDAY 20 Oct, via the link below.
Here is a short video explaining the integration.
* Please note that for the invoicing part of the integration to work properly, you need to have your rates and retainers set up in DataGrows. If you need assistance with this, please book a session via this link.
Other Upgrades
Corrections
Sole props and Partnership will now be scheduled for Financials if the service for Financials has been switched on in the Client table.
The following fields are being phased out:
1. In the Share Register table, you will see that the Beneficial Owner & Beneficial Owner ID have been set to read-only.
These fields have been replaced with the Beneficial Ownership Declaration table and the CIPC Beneficial Ownership table. If you are not familiar with these tables yet, this blog post will explain more.
2. In the Client table, the Directors' summary fields have been set to read-only.
These fields have been replaced by the dedicated Directors tab, which allows you to capture a lot more information about each director. If you haven't done so yet, please copy your directors over from the read-only fields to the directors' tab. Find out more about the directors' tab here. https://www.mydatagrowsblog.com/post/directors-table
New Additions
Macros SARS & CIPC Subtasks
You can now mark documents as requested or received in bulk in the CIPC and SARS subtask tabs. Simply check the checkboxes to the left of the subtask, then go to Actions and select either "Doc Received" or "Doc Requested." This will add the current date to the Received and Requested fields.
The provisional tax table will now also indicate if a client qualifies for Small business tax. This table will explain more about the Small Business tax indicator: https://www.mydatagrowsblog.com/post/small-business-tax-1
Warning if an accountant does not have a license.
If you allocate a task to an accountant that doesn't have a license, a warning will display, indicating that the accountant doesn't have access to the system. From January 2024, you will no longer be able to allocate tasks to these accountants until you allocate a licence to them. DataGrows was designed with the intention of reducing task load and streamlining processes. To achieve this, each accountant on the system needs to be able to access the system and manage their tasks.
Provisional tax tasks will indicate a dormant zero return. If a Client has been marked as Dormant in the Client table, the Provisional Tax task will display a note stating "Dormant - File Zero Return".
That's All For Now.
